Can anyone help me out to recreating or reassigning SID
,actually we are facing problem that our clients
machine are losing there SID and how to reassign them
there SID. The error which we are facing is

The computer --- tried to connect to the server \\---
using the trust relationship established by the ----
domain. However, the computer lost the correct
security identifier (SID) when the domain was
reconfigured. Reestablish the trust relationship.

Can you help us out , is there any utility to free SID

There are programs that will strip the SID off a machine. The next
time your boot up and logon to a domain, a new SID will automatically
be assigned to the box through the network.

Please note that the trust relationships you mention are not
established, maintained, or in any way controlled using XP. These
relationships are set at a Domain level on the Domain Controllers.

I don't believe the problem is with your XP machine. This sounds like
a trust relationship problem between two domains that need to be
addressed at the Server level. Talk to IT about it.

Oh, and FWIW, you wouldn't even be able to use you box to logon to
your domain if the SID was incorrect. Your Domain Controller would
recognize a system not configured properly for it in AD and would deny
it access.
