Dear,
One of my file server crashed and I restored the data on a new one.
My problem is that loose all my rights because it was server local groups
and the backup of the system state was not consistant.
When I see a NTFS permission on a folder I see a SID(S-1-5xxxxx) instead of
the name of the group.
I still recreate all the groups on the new server, and would like put the
SID of the old server on the SIDhistory of the new one.
In my mind I hope my users could acceeded the datas without re setting all
the NTFS permissions manually.
My problem is when I open Adsiedit I need to put the SID in hexa but I don't
know how to transform it.
Do you have a VB script when I pass a SID (type S-1-5xxx) and give me the
hexa code?
Thank's for your help
Any suggestions are good
Regards
