Hello al

We had to format our hard drive, re-installing windows xp, when we went on line ( BT openworld Broad band ) a message appeared stating that the pc was going to close down in 15 seconds, this was happening every 10 mins, now we can't access the net at all, does anyone have any idea......we spoke to BT , they suggest it could be a virus

Thank you in advanc

You have the MSBlaster virus or one of its variants. Take the infected
machine off the Internet and all networks immediately. From another
machine, go to:

http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html

and read all about how to clean it up.
