I have my windows set to powerdown my monitor & HDs. But
some times it doesn't do it. I have XP home. This did
this also when I had ME. I have a KDS 19" Xflat monitor
and 2 maxtor hds. I think the hds are shutting down.
But you can tell when the monitor doesn't. Any ideas?

Hi John,

Generally, this indicates that some background process is preventing the
system from entering standby. Which one is up to you to figure out, this can
