Shuttin the XP Pro

When I shut down the computer with Win98SE I just needed to clikc start and shut down but I do that with XP PRO neverthless I can not completly shut it down I need to switch off from the computer manually. How can I shut it down through without using manual swithc off button?

A probable cause is that your installation found the BIOS does not
adequately support the `Advanced Configuration & Power Interface`
(ACPI). It then installs the older APM, but leaves it disabled. Go to
Control Panel - Power Options, and if there is an APM page, check
`Enable APM` on it.
