Shutdown

Windows XP takes a loooong time to shutdown. Is there anytyhing I can do
about it. This is on my wife's computer. Mine was taking a long time to
shutdown and somebody on the message board told me how to fix it. Well, it
worked but I must not have saved the message. I can't find it.

Can anybody help me?

Usually caused by a program failing to close. Check in task manager to see
what is running.
