Hi

For some reasons, when shutting down my PC, the PC restarts itself at the
end of the shutdown process. Basically, the PC cannot be shut down from
Windows.

How to fix this ?

Thanks for the tip, but I didn't get to try it.

I searched Google and came across an advice mentioning about Wake On LAN
problem relating to rebooting of PC after shutdown. So, I changed the NIC,
and the problem seems to go away ... so far.

Yes, the problem did look to be the NIC. As the PC was shut down, most of
the times, it would restart almost immediately. On occasion, it would be as
if the power was completely OFF for about 2-3 seconds, and then booting.

Anyway, I'll keep SFC in mind. What would it do though ?
