shutdown when you have ewffilter on?

Is there any possible damage to my flash system I can do if I just unplug
the power when I want to turn off the system?
IE is there any benefit to using the shutdown function while I have ewf ram
disk filter turned on.

Jim,

EWF will prevent software related damages to your filesystem. How hardware
will handle this it is always open for debate.
