Shutdown of proces on an inactive node.

Hello,
We have a cluster with 2 nodes, when we switch the cluster from one node to the other we need to stop a proces. can we use the cluster manager to stop the proces or should we run a batch program on the active node so we can kill the proces on the inactive node and how would this be done?, or is there another method?
Is the help on this in the Win2k help files, I haven't been able to find anything there to stop a proces.

newsgroup as that's where most cluster related postings go.
