Shutdown Error Message

Good day and thank you for taking time to review this post.

I am using an OEM Windows Xp Home Edition. The past few days, 4-5, I have
been getting this error message upon shutting down. The only other quirk I
have noticed is that, at times, upon booting up I get a Symantec error
regarding my Norton Antivirus. All else seems to function OK.

"The instruction at 0x25da8e8 references memory at 0x0017700c that could not
be "read" Press OK to terminate or CANCEL to debug program."

What might be the cause of this and how might I go about repairing it?

Thank you and have a nice day.

Hi Don,

Try disabling your Norton software, then cycle a few reboots to see if the
problem still occurs. If not, then this is an issue for Symantec support.
