Shutdown Button Restarts Computer

Running XP Pro SP 1, when I attempt to shutdown the
computer using the shutdown button, the computer
restarts. It also restarts when I try to hibernate. Any
ideas? I took a look through the knowledge base, and
there wasn't any specific instances of the problem
appearing. Thanks.
