shut downs/error messages

Does anybody have any idea wht the following means---
WINDOWS MUST RESTART BECAUSE THE REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL
(RPC) SERVICE TERMINATED UNECPECTEDLY. I'v gotten this
numerous times. Any help will be appreciated.
