shut down

When I shut down my pc I get a box appearing with the title rundll32.exe
and a message saying "if you chose to end program you will lose unsaved
data"
If I let it run nothing happens, but when I hit "end now" , the PC switches
off.
It has suddenly stated doing this...how can i stop it?

use a "-f" to force all apps to close.
