Defragmenting

When you use the Disk Defragmenter tool to defragment your
hard disk, you may receive the following message:

Drive's Contents Have Changed: Restarting...

This issue can occur if a program (such as an antivirus
program or a screen saver) is running on the drive when
the Disk Defragmenter tool is running"

Every time when I run disk defragment the computer shuts
down and restarts. Please help!

Do you mean that the computer completely shuts down and then reboots
back into Windows again? That means that something is triggering a
"system failure" class error when you run disk defragment.

If that is what is happening then open Control Panel - System -
Advanced and click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery
(bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"automatically restart" so as to clear it.

Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.

Now when you run Defrag the reboots should be replaced by a "Blue
Screen Of Death" with a STOP error message. The information from the
STOP error will be a direct clue as to what is causing the problem.

Post the STOP error information back here if you need assistance with
it.

Good luck
