Shut down/Restart

Help! I am running Windows 2000. For no apparant
reason, the screen goes black, shuts down and restarts.
Or sometimes, it just freezes. Also, quite often, it
freezes during restart. Any ideas?

wow, not good.

check power supply, make sure everything is seated properly. I have
also seen a loose metallic object under the mainboard do this.
