Shut down problem

On windows xp pro shut down get message: "Unable to
close porgram iexplore.exe" I hae already closed IE
prior to this. Also sometimes when openning IE, I get a
beep. What is openning another IE?
 
Hi everyone, I'm looking for ideas of what might be suddenly causing my
browser to close as soon as certain sites are loaded. Yesterday it was
Virgin.net, then the Sky news website. There are no messages and the PC does
not log off, just closes Explorer?

Any suggestions would be appreciated please
