I am running WinXP on a celeron 1800Mhz Toshiba laptop
PC. My problem is that my computer turns off all physical
power when I run certain programs. Every time I run my
Virus checker (Norton NAV2003), Adaware6, Spybot S&D or
an online virus checker,my computer automatically turns
off all physcial power on its own. Yet when I run other
programs like Word, or IE6, or outlook the computer is
perfectly stable.

I'm assuming that the problem is some form of virus or
some form of corruption of my windows folder.
Either way I am at a loss.
I would appreciate your opinions, thoughts, and possible
solutions to my problem.
My thanks in advance

it could be the blaster wor
(a removal link below) borrowed from Jupiter Jone

See if you can run that
Have you got all the latest updates & fixes from MS ?
Have you checked to see (via MS, it's not an automatic test BTW) if you have the my doom virus

To get rid of spyware I always use 'hyjack this' which is excellent at weeding out those hard to find bugs/hyjacks etc
I got my copy from
