Shrinking monitor screen

Peter Hutchison

My Monitor, a Proview 770, now 3-4 years old, seems to shrinking in
size. I have a inch of black space on either side and I am unable to
stretch the display to fill it as its already at maximum settings in
the OSD menu.

Any ideas to fix it or should I replace my monitor?

The power transformer that drives the CRT is getting old.
Do you hear a loud buzz or hum too. You can get it repaired
but the money might be better spent on a new monitor, maybe
a flat panel.
