shrinking a photo to print

i have a high resolution photo i wanted to print on a4
size paper but it won't shrink to size, i've tried but it
only shows a corner of the pic then. is there any way of
getting this wide screen pic to shrink to a4 for printing?

Are you using the XP printing wizard? If so, do you select your paper size
and the correct printer in the window Printing options, under Printing
preferences. What do you see in the Layout selection window for Print
Preview, the entire photo or just part of it?
