Showing LogParser Progress

Jethro

Currently using LogParser 2.2 via C# (VS2005 with .NET Framework 2.0) to
search for specific errors in very large IISW3C logs. Program is functioning
as intended but the size of the logs causes very long processing times and
since all results are being written to CSV, there is no visual indication of
progress whatsoever. I searched the www and am not having luck finding any
advice on how to add a progress indicator for LogParser. Thanks a bunch!

Jethro,

As far as doing it from the LogParser executable, if it produces any
kind of indicator on the command line, then you might be able to use that,
but if not, there really isn't anything you can do.

Someone has made a third party edition with a GUI, which might offer
some progress:
