show value of row one based on min of row two

I have a row of dates in a1 to i1 the next row has values in a2 to i2 then j2
shows the min of these. How can I get the date above the min in row a2 to i2
into k2? Any help appreciated as I have tried and tried until my head hurts.

Try this:

=INDEX(A1:I1,MATCH(J2,A2:I2,0))

Format as Date

You don't really need j2.

=INDEX(A1:I1,MATCH(MIN(A2:I2),A2:I2,0))
