show text + images (smilies)

Hello,

i'm looking for a way to show formatted text and images (e.g. animated
gif's) in an edit control...
like in many chat programs
does somebody know how to make this?

Dirk,

I would use an WebBrowser to show that. If you think about it, you
don't need a text window for the text that is sent to you on IM, since it
doesn't have to be edited.
