show is automatically comming back to the first slide

HI

In a power point 2003 presentation the show is
automatically comming back to the first slide after 5-10
minutes of showing the same slide.

settings are:
Slide show - "browsed at a kiosk"
Advance slide: automatically after 00:00
navigation throuth the show using links.

what is the problem ?

It's not a problem; it's a "feature." The idea is that if you truly have
a kiosk and someone walks away in the middle of your presentation, it
should eventually come back to your opening eye-catching grabber screen
so someone else will be enticed to look. This feature was broken for a
while (I think it was PowerPoint 2000), but it is back and working and
extremely annoying that we can't turn it off.

Try using ShowMouse utility from
http://officeone.mvps.org/download/showmouse.html. It should take care of
the kiosk time reset "feature".
