Show/Hide turns on by itself

I have a table where some of the cells contain hidden text. When I put the
insertion point in one of those cells and start typing, Show/Hide toggles
itself and all the hidden text becomes visible.

Why is this happening?

(I'm in Word 2003.)

Perhaps you are pressing a key combination by mistake? By default,
Ctrl+Shift+8 is assigned to the ShowAll command, but there could be other
shortcuts defined on your system. To find out, look in the Customize
Keyboard dialog box (in Tools | Customize, click the Keyboard button).
