Show comments, but not the indicators

I have created an excel spreadsheet where all cells in a column of
data contain comments.
The comments provide additional information about a location. For
example, the cell value is 'Pizza Hut', and the cell comment contains
store #, address, city.

This creates a very busy looking spreadsheet, with cell comment
indicators everywhere. Is there a way to hide the indicators, but
the cell comments still popup on mouseover?

Thank you

John

If you hide the indicators, you hide the comment also.

You might try <Data> <Validation> - <Input Message> tab,
*BUT* it *doesn't* display with a "mouseover", just with a selection.

Not really a solution, but at least in Excel 2007 if you zoom out your
cells and text get much larger yet the comment indicators don't change
size, so they are less noticeable. However, this affects how much
information you can display on one screen.

Another approach would be to use hyperlinks rather than comments for
your location information. That would require a mouse click rather than
a hover to display the result.
