Should Windows Mail users move to Windows Live Mail?

How stable is Windows Live Mail?

Does it convert your old Windows Mail messages and keep storing messages on
your computer, or only online? And what about Contacts?

Is there something good to read to read about moving from Windows Mail to
Windows Live Mail? The material at http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview is
pretty superficial.

It's stable enough that many people who prefer it now discuss it in the
following
newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

You may want to ask there.

I agree that Microsoft's online material about WLM is very superficial.
Basically, WLM does everything that WM does, plus some extras.
WLM had the benefit of a longer development period, and many of the
bugs that exist in WM have been fixed in WLM.
WLM automatically imports all your WM accounts, settings and emails.
It doesn't always do so for contacts, but those are an easy manual import.
I use both programs, but like WLM better for email because of its superior
auto-completion of contacts, and better spell check features (like
auto-correct).

It would be difficult for Microsoft to make everyone happy with one
email program, so they concentrate on the average user.
Modern wide-screen laptops have a screen resolution of 1280 X 800,
so there is plenty of width available. I don't use anything smaller,
so I have no suggestions for you.
