Sam

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Pro (SP2) and it is
used as a stand alone computer with MSN as my ISP. I recently read an
article on the Tech Republic web site that recommends DNS Caching be
disabled on a workstation for security reasons.

I checked the Services listing on my computer and there is a DNS Client
running in automatic mode. Should this service be disabled for security
reasons? Thanks for any help, Sam.

The decision is entirely up to you.

Many sites recommend many strange things. It is up to you to read -
evaluate - do (or not)!
