Hi,

Firstly, the download for the 64-bit says its about 13mb lol, so dunno whats
goin on there.

Secondly, will I be "safer" using the 32-bit version as a lot of my programs
are older and I dont want to mess about re-installing XP etc... becuase half
my drivers or programs wont work lol. ???

Also, my HDD isn't massive. If I installed Vista on a seperate partition,
will I get a message asking me which OS to use when I boot up? and if I
choose vista will I be able to access my documents etc...as I would normally
with XP? Or can I only have one OS?

Cheers,

Hello :)

That's not good.

Yes, 32-bit is safer. I also recommend you download the tool that Microsoft
has on its Vista website to check and see if there will be any compatibility
problems. Upgrade adviser, I think it's called.

And you should uninstall any security or antivirus software before
installing Vista ... and then install a Vista-compatible antivirus software
after the upgrade, if you choose to upgrade.

You will not have any trouble accessing your documents ... however, they
will be read-only by default. There are 2 ways to get around this, the easy
(less-secure) way, and the harder (more-secure) way. If you choose this
path, I can give you more info.

My suggestion: Install 32-bit Vista to a seperate partition.
