Should I Remove SP1 ?

Only if you have a really slow comp. But you shoudl just
reload Windows if you really want to do that. If you have
the disc and do a basic reload, it won't make you
reinstall your programs or settings.

I've been reading about system slow down issues related
to the installation of service pack one. Thinking about
removing it, I looked at Add/Remove Programs in Control
Panel and find no less than 23 instances named: Windows XP
Hot Fix (SP1) Q******. Can someone tell me if it's safe to
remove all of these files? It would be nice if I could
remove them all at the same time instead of one at a time,
but I don't expect miracles.

You say you've been reading about problems, but have you
had any yourself?

If not, why uninstall SP1?

An interesting point really. Seems the "if not broke dont fix it goes
both ways" ie removing a major OS upgrade can, in theory, open up a can
of worms eh?
