should i allow lsa shell (export version) internet access?

i use zone alarm fire wall and have had a request to allow lsa shell export
version access to the internet. should i allow this? under what
circumstances is this acceptable? where can i find information like this in
the future?

Most likely it is not a symptom of a problem if the target address is
0.0.0.0 , local host, 127.0.0.1, an address ending in .255, and the IP
address of your computer as shown by ipconfig /all, or another IP on your
LAN network. Of course you should be doing regular malware and spyware on
your computer being sure to use the latest definitions for all of them and
not relying on only firewall messages to indicate the health of your
computer. Make sure you are following the basics in the link below for
securing your computer/network. When in doubt always block access and if
nothing breaks don't worry about it. --- Steve
