Shortcuts restored to text field in Task objects

My desk is driven by projects or tasks. When Outlook staff removed the
ability to link tasks via shortcuts in the text fields of tasks you made my
work much harder.

....but it made it more secure at the same time as well.
You can use views, categories and Search Folders to keep related tasks
together so that inserting a shortcut becomes more or less redundant.
