Shortcut Menu Bar

I have an Access 2003 application that has a form with a subform on it. I
created a shortcut menu bar and set the shortcut menu bar property on my
subform to use the new shortcut menu. When I right click on the subform it
shows the menu bar but when I highlight a column and then right click it
shows the default menu bar. When I open the subform by itself as a form and
highlight a column the new menu bar shows up.

How come I can't get the shortcut menu bar to show when the form is a
subform?
How can I get this to work?
