For whatever reason when I hit ctrl+enter to automatically
put the www and com does not work anymore. I am spoiled
with this feature because I use it at work all the time.

Tools \internet options \advanced tab. Put a checkmark in "use inline
autocomplete". Apply\okay your way out.
