shortcut for shutdown in XP

I used to have a quick shutdown option on my Start menu
in Win98. It was just a shortcut with a target value of
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE User.exe,exitwindows

This won't work on XP and I miss the convience of one-
click shutting down. Does anyone know a shortcut that
works on XP?

this might only work for XP Pro (i don't know about the
home edition...), but i think i'd try:

tsshutdn 0 /powerdown /delay:0

(you may need administrative privlidges.. i'm not sure..)

good luck!

Tips (check the archive)**

1. Right click the Desktop and select New /Shortcut

2. A screen will appear asking you for a Command Line.
Here's what you put in that box:

For Shutdown:
Shutdown -s -t 0

For Restart:
Shutdown -r -t 0

For Log Off:
Shutdown -l -t 0
