Shortcut fonts

I am using Windows xp home edition and would like to know
how to change the font for the description under the
shortcut icons. Mine is a 3d effect and it is hard to
read. Thank you
 
It's not the font but the effect applied to it.

Start - Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance - Visual Effects - Use Drop Shadows For Icon Labels

The font is changed
Start - Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced - Icon
