Short cut to text

Can anyone tell me please if there are any short cuts
other than =rand(?,?) that will generate pages of text
for my typing illiterate students to practice with.

Don't think Word has any others, but there are plenty of websites with
complete works of literature that you can download into Word. Surely Hamlet
would be more didactory than 200 repetitions of The quick brown fox?

Just find and copy, or type, any text you like, then make an AutoText
entry of it. But beyond making an AutoText entry, there are further
steps that can make it easier to enter in a document. For example,
instead of entering the text the usual way, by typing several
characters, then seeing the popup, and then pressing Tab or F3, assign a
keystroke to the AutoText entry. Open the Customize Keyboard dialog box
(Tools, Customize, Keyboard), choose AutoText in the left pane and fine
the entry in the right pane, and assign a keystroke.
