Shift key virus

When I press the shift key a bunch of wierd text appears? Do you know
of any virus that effects the shift key?

First, relatively few computer infections are viral these days. No money
in it.

It's always /possible/ that the behavior you have observed is caused by
malware, but not likely, since malware writers don't bother with silly
games like that anymore.

Instead, go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and make
sure you have the correct language set. If your keyboard software has a
similar setting, check there also.

Shift key on its own? Or do the weird characters come when you press
other keys in conjunction with the shift key?
