Does this affect all keys, or only the letters? If it's only the
letters, your Caps Lock key is on. If it's all keys, I don't have a
clue.

12345

Its not the caps lock

Weird!

One additional thought occurs to me -- do you have Stickykeys turned
on? (You can search that term in Help and Support, as a single word.)

A: Maybe because some people are too annoyed by top posting.
Q: Why do I not get an answer to my question(s)?
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Sorry, I had a brain-fart and stupidly asked if it was stickykeys. Of
course you've already said it's not.

I'm afraid I'm stumped.

i just bought my labtop and am having the same trouble! Its extremely
frustrating. I'll be typing fine for 10 min. and all of a sudden everything
is in caps lock mode but the caps lock button is not on. I can also not type
in numbers as well and i've tried the number lock on and off...doesn't help.
The only way I can change it back to normal is to restart my computer. Also,
when this problem occurs...if i try to click on or select an item using the
touch pad it selects the whole page? Its as if there is a glitch in the sys.
My Sticky Keys is also disabled.

Could it perhaps just be that your keyboard is playing up and the shift key
is bust? Tried the PC with a different keyboard?

Just a thought...
