Shift +Enter key

Hi,
I am new to Access Development.
I have XP with OFfice 2003. I am unable to open MS Access application
in Design mode (View Queries, tables etc) by pressing shift+enter key.
The application launches when I do this.

Is there another way to open instead of using shift+enter?

you wait for the db to open, you hit F11 and then you hit shift and
enter when you have a table selected
