sheet tabs missing

The tabs that are supposed to be at the bottom of the workbook that say
sheet1 sheet2 sheet3 are missing. How do I get them back?

While you're in Tools>Options have a look at the options you find on the
various Tabs.

Some pretty interesting stuff in there for customizing Excel.
