Sheet tabs are hidden...option is checked

Anyone know how to make the sheet tabs and horizontal scroll bar show up
at the bottom?

I created a workbook for my mom's work on Excel 2000 containing 5
different sheets, which I can navigate to by clicking the tabs at the
bottom. However, my mom can't see the tabs (or the horizontal scroll
bar) using Excel 2003. There's nothing else at the bottom except the
status bar. I got her to check Tools>Options>"View", but both the
sheet tabs and horizontal scroll bar options are checked to be shown.
Is there something else I can tell her to do?

hi okamico

You can drag the horizontal scroll bar over the tabs
I think that is the problem

Point your mouse to the left of the horizontal scroll bar and when you holding
your left mouse button you can make it wider by draging it to the left.

Well, the horizontal scroll bar is missing too. The only thing at th
bottom is the status bar.

I should also state that she's never even opened Excel until I sent he
the workbook (she used *gasp* quattropro), so I'm sure everything is o
the default settings...

Thanks for your help. I got them to reappear. I had her maximize the
workbook within Excel and it made them reappear. I'm going to assume
the sheet was dragged down so that the tabs and scroll bar were hidden
beyond the status bar. It would have been an easy fix if I could see
her set-up, but over the phone I couldn't imagine what was going on.
Thanks again.
