I have a workbook which i am developing to be an end user application
in order to achieve this i am trying to make it look as if it isn
excel that i am using. I have hidden all the toolbars and column an ro
headings but it is the background that has me stumped. i can get th
background to appear but when i hide the row headings there is a whit
band where the row heading has been.
This is so frustrating as it should be quite easy!

Hi,
Try this:
1. Make your background the same color as the grid lines
or
2. Do not display grid lines with the background.

Regards
Mark

Thats not really the problem the middle of the sheet looks fine but it
the left hand edge that is the problem because there is a white ban
where the row headings have been. When i run a macro to set the scree
it works fine but when i put it into the worbook open event th
situation described above occur
