SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg script error message in IE 6.0 SP1

Hi

I just upgraded to IE 6.0 SP1 today, now I am having
problems printing from some websites. I am using Windows
98 and the error message that I receive is this:

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Line: 93
Char: 1
Error: Access is denied
Code: 0
URL: res://c:\windows\system\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

Do you wan to continue running scripts on this page? Yes /
No ?

I selected Yes and No and it doesn't do anything.

Any ideas on how to stop this or what is causing this ?
It's strange that it is only happening on some websites
not all.

Thanks

Hi Ramesh

Thanks for the reply.

I did look at most of the articles that you suggest and KB
303360 & 293176 have different error messages than the one
I am receiving - should I still try the resolutions ???

KB 303486 - As far as I can tell I am not using a Post
Script Driver and I can't find anything in Printer /
Properties with Post Script (EPS). I have a HP Office Jet
590.

And I checked for the Surfairy directory and there isn't
one.

I'm beginning to think I should have left well enough
alone and stayed on IE 5.0.

Thanks.

You may try Q303360. (part of the troubleshooting included in Q293176)

1. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

2. Discover and remove the culprit which caused this:

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis to identify and assist in
the removal of these bad guys. **Post your files to any of the following

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
