Matt

Our server (used for storage) is causing Sharing
Violations. When trying to access files on the server
from networked machines these errors are occuring.

Even when these machines are restarted the problem
remains. The only work around i have found is to use
computer management and then close open connections to the
individual files.

The interesting thing is this has only recently
started...and i know the error is not being caused by the
networked machines as i have turned them all off and tried
to delete problematic files!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Matt.

I work for a school and here we have 2 servers. I've seen this problem before. It might be caused by removing or adding a permission on the client. See that all the permission are still the way they were and that your client users are in the correct policy groups like domain admin

We are having the same problem -- using Windows 2000 (SP4) on workstations and Novell 6.5 servers.
