I have two XP machines, successfully networked together - working
fine.

I want to change the 'share name' of a directory on one of the
machines. When I right-click on the directory name in Windows
Explorer, and select 'sharing and security', I cannot change the
'share name'. It is locked.

How do I change the 'share name'?

Thanks

Try accessing the directory via My Computer instead of Windows Explorer.
I had this problem the other day but my memory has faded already.

Thanks, but that didn't work either. Sure seems strange to me!
