Sharing linked databases in 2003 Active Directory network environm

I have several subordinate databases linked to a table within a parent db.
The links work fine for me but I can't share any of the dbs with the 3
coworkers who need to get into them.

All users have been given appropriate access to the folder containing the
databases. They can open the dbs but cannot access any tables, queries or
reports. They receive an error message stating that the network path cannot
be found or is invalid.

I have the default open mode set to "Shared" and the run permissions set to
"Owner's". I tried setting the run permissions to "User's" with no effect.

All PCs are using Office 2000 and Win2000 OS in an MS 2003 Active Directory
network environment using MS' DHCP, DNS & WINS services.

Any ideas ?

How are the links defined? Using mapped drive letters, or with UNCs
(\\server\share\...)

If mapped drive letters, have they got the same drive mappings?

BTW, what did you consider to be "appropriate access to the folder
containing the databases"? Even if the database is supposed to be read-only
for them, they'll need Change access (Read, Write, eXecute and Delete) on
the folder.
