My friend and I both have the same notebooks with wireless cards
We managed to network our machines together to access files, but we can't seem to share the one internet connection
It is only dialup, and if someone could help me setup it would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Braddo,

Here are a couple websites with useful tutorials:
http://www.cablesense.com/
http://www.homenethelp.com/

How are your notebooks connected? Infrastructure mode (with a router sharing
the connection by connecting to each wireless card)? Or Ad-hoc mode (directly
to each other by wireless card)? How is the modem connected to the notebooks?

Infrastructure mode is a much more responsible and secure connection, but you
CAN use ad-hoc mode if you can't afford a router. Though I hope you won't.

And Braddo, please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address
mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a
bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - never post your address unmunged.

We both have wireless cards 802.11b and they are connected
via the wireless cards.
The dialup will be connected to my computer via modem, and
then the other PC will have to connect to me to access net.

What is munge? i don't know anything about that.

So I gather that you have connectivity between the two computers? That's half
the battle.

Here are a couple websites with useful tutorials on internet connection and
sharing:

You'll be activating Internet Connection Sharing Server on your computer, and
the other computer will be an ICS client. The Networking Wizard may be able to
set both computers up. If not, post back here and we'll walk you thru the
process.
