I have set up a wireless network between my desktop and
my laptop and wish to share files, and a printer, between
the two. I can see the shared folders on the laptop from
the desktop but not vice-versa. The first time I tried to
view the shared folders on the desktop from the laptop it
requested logon info, I did not know what to put in so I
put my e-mail logon. I now know this to be wrong but I
cannot get the logon screen back, all I get
is "\\(workgroup name) is not accessable. you may not
have permission to use this network resource".
Can anyone help.
Desktop is XP PRO sp2, Lapto XP home sp2
Thanks Paul

Paul,

please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.

You can check your stored logon credentials in the manage
passwords function in User Manager. Click on your own account
first, then look at the choices in the upper left.

You may have to enable the guest account as described in the
above link.
