Win XP HE, SP1
Hi,
How can I share only 1 folder with another computer on a home network?
i.e. I wan to share the "My Documents" from my desktop pc (running Win ME)
and a laptop runing XP HE.
I only want to share from the laptop being able to see and open documents
inf the My DOcuments folder on the desktop (running ME).
I don't want to share printers or other folders.
How do I set this up simply and hopefully easily?
Currently, both computers are sharing a dsl connection via a router. I have
disabled (cleared the checkbox) the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft
Networks" on the laptop at the moment.
Thanks for the help.

With WinME doing the "sharing", I believe you only choice is "all" or
"none", shoot, even with the "none" option, WinME's security is so lax your
still sharing "all" - hehehe.

WinME security is the same as Windows 95 and 98. It lets you specify
a password when you create a shared disk or folder. Only someone who
knows the password can access it.

Enable File and Printer Sharing on the laptop. Then, browse to the My
Documents folder, right-click it, and share it. No other printers or
folders will be accessible by other computers unless you explicitly
share them, too.
