sharing calendars

I am running Outlook 2007. "Open a Shared Calendar" & "Share My Calendar"
options do not appear in my navigation panel. How do I make them appear, or
have I installed something incorrectly? Thanks.

i should add, we are running a windows 2003 exchange server
